Recently, the Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced the first batch of provincial-level "one village, one product" demonstration villages and towns list, Zhushan County victory town list, became the first provincial-level tea as the leading industry of "one village, one product" demonstration villages and towns.

Desheng Town is located at the border of Hubei and Shaanxi in the west of Zhushan County. It is a veritable "tea professional town" and the origin and main producing area of Hubei "Ten famous tea" Shengshuimaojian.

In recent years, Desheng Town has actively practiced the concept of "two mountains", planted ecological advantages, based on tea resource endowment, excelled and strengthened the tea ecological industry, and explored a distinctive development path of "strong party building, breeding base, training leader, chain building, and promoting income" tea industry.

The tea gardens in Desheng Town are picturesque

At present, the total area of tea gardens in Deshengzhen is 38,000 mu, more than 80% of paddy fields and more than 90% of dry land have basically achieved full coverage of tea gardens, and more than 90% of farmers are engaged in tea planting. There are 50 registered professional tea cooperatives, 59 tea processing workshops, workshops, and tea leading enterprises such as Hubei Xingmeng Tea Industry Co., LTD., Hubei Zhushanhong Ecological Agriculture Co., LTD., and Hubei Shengyuan Food Co., LTD., and 37 high-quality tea trademarks such as "Ten Xinghong", "Qinlingyuan" and "Feiyunshan" have been cultivated. In 2022, the town has an annual output of 664 tons of various types of dry tea, achieving an output value of 475 million yuan, benefiting 5,273 households and 18,276 people. In 2023, the town has extended the tea industry chain, vigorously developed bulk tea, and the income per mu of tea garden can be increased by more than 3,000 yuan on the original basis, effectively driving the income of the masses.
